POCATELLO, Idaho -- Around 8 p.m. Wednesday night, parts of Yellowstone Avenue in Pocatello were underwater after a heavy rain storm moved through the area.Water was covering the outside northbound lane of Yellowstone from the intersection Alameda Road and Yellowstone Avenue to near Flandro Drive and Yellowstone Avenue.Car after car attempted to drive through the flooded streets and made it through for the most part, but they pushed quite a bit of water over the curbs and into parking lots and grassy areas.Steady rain fell for about a half hour before the clouds cleared. By 9 p.m. the rain water along Yellowstone Avenue had receded and traffic was moving smoothly again.Dispatchers from Bannock County, Chubbuck and Pocatello said that there was no major flooding damage, accidents or storm damage.E-mail your storm pictures to newsdesk@localnews8.com
