FORT HALL, Idaho -- Sho-Ban Junior/Senior High School goes back to school with a new sixth grade class this year. Sho-Ban was pulling seventh graders from so many different area schools that there were issues getting them all on the same page, school officials said. The new sixth grade class will acclimate students to the Sho-Ban system earlier and teach them native traditions, like the Shoshoni and Bannock languages. Students are excited to be at the school."In your life you might want to pass down your Bannock or Shoshoni language to your family so they will know, and then they could pass it down onto their children. And then like, the math may help you when you want to go to college," said new sixth grader NiDea Martin.
