BONNEVILLE COUNTY, Idaho -- The Idaho Falls Fire Department is battled a house fire at 1256 South Foothill Road in Idaho Falls on Wedesday. The fire was put out around noon.Witness said the two-story home had smoke coming out of the windows on the first floor. Idaho Falls Fire Chief Dean Ellis said the fire started in the basement of the home.However, Ellis said firefighters had a hard time fighting the blaze because the home was originally a log cabin that had siding installed. He said the fire had spread in-between the walls.A family lives in the home, but they were not home when the fire started, and no one was transported to the hospital. Neighbors called in the blaze to 911.Damage is estimated at $120,000.Local News 8's Marissa Bodnar will have a full update tonight on Local News 8 at 5 and 6.

The Idaho Falls Police Department is issuing a warning to all residents to lock their doors and windows after they say an unidentified man entered some homes early Friday morning.
Tiffany Horning, 25, of Terreton pleaded guilty Friday in United States District Court in Pocatello to passing a counterfeit check, U.S. Attorney Wendy J. Olson announced.
