Fourth Member Of Chubbuck Murder Case Sentenced

The fourth and final member of the Chubbuck attempted murder case was sentenced today.

Karissa Salaz pled guilty to both first-degree kidnapping and first-degree attempted murder.

Each charge carries a five year fixed sentence with 10 years indeterminate, meaning Salaz could be released on parole after serving her initial five years.

Salaz should not spend as much time in prison as Stephanie Christensen, Cody Childers or Jamie Nappo because she did not participate in the beating of the teenager or dumping of the girl's body off a Fort Hall bridge.
