Rocky Mountain Power To Fully Refund Wrong Rigby Tax
POSTED: 6:52 pm MST January 27, 2012RIGBY, Idaho -- Rocky Mountain Power said it will fully refund customers who were incorrectly charged the Rigby city franchise fee on their bills.A spokesperson for the utility company said the decision comes after working with Rigby and the Idaho Public Utilities Commission.There is a 3-year statute for refunds on utility bills, but Rocky Mountain Power said a full refund is the right thing to do. The company said most of the affected customers have been paying since 2005.Rigby city officials said they played no part in this error or decision.
