A car bomb in Pattani, Thailand, has killed six people and injured 47, according to an emergency physician treating the victims.
A police officer who didn't want to be named described to CNN that he heard a gun fire at a market about 50 meters from the station. He also said about five people driving two trucks parked one of the vehicles that was carrying the car bomb in front of a gold shop. Then the attackers opened fire on the shop.
The shop was closed at the time, the officer said.
