A 31-year-old Fort Hall man is charged with breaking into a house in Murtaugh, beating the resident and later setting it on fire during an apparent attempt to collect money owed to the family of a 16-year-old girl who accompanied him.
The Times-News reports Vince Henison Littleman was arraigned Wednesday on charges of aggravated battery, robbery and first-degree arson and burglary.
Prosecutors say Littleman, another man and a 16-year-old girl broke into a trailer early on July 13. The resident said two men beat him with a metal bar and the girl asked him about money and a man who she thought lived in the house.
The three eventually left and the victim fled to another house.
Court records say Littleman told investigators he and the girl returned to the house and set fires.
