Gas station employee helps deliver baby in Ogden
An employee at a Flying J gas station in Ogden says she went outside to check on the propane tank and found a woman in labor.
Employee Michelle Sausameda tells KSL she was filling in for a co-worker Wednesday afternoon when she came face-to-face with Destiny Johnson.
The station reports Johnson had gone to put air in the tires during a family camping trip when her baby started coming several weeks early.
Sausameda says she helped Johnson deliver the boy on some grass and unwrapped the umbilical cord from around his neck.
The baby started crying, and paramedics arrived shortly after.
Sausameda called the incident an amazing gift that she'll never forget.
Johnson and the baby, named Braxdon Kincaid Crawford, were taken to the hospital and are doing fine.
