I-86 open after multiple accidents Saturday
Low visibility caused by high winds
Interstate 86 opened after multiple west of Pocatello caused traffic to be blocked in both directions for about five hours Saturday.
Traffic was open in both directions around 9:45 p.m.
The crashes were related to reduced visibility caused by blowing dust.
Lt. Ismael Gonzales with Idaho State Police said the pileup was a result of 14 to 16 individual crashes. At least six people were taken to Portneuf Medical Center with unknown injuries. Gonzales said ISP worked diligently to clean up the crash scene.
