There are three dozen new lawmakers in the Capitol in Boise for the coming session, following last year's redistricting and the retirement of numerous legislators.

These greenhorns will add a new dimension to debates over complex topics.

Among the first they'll consider: Whether Idaho should design its own insurance exchange, or let the federal government do it.

There's also discussion of repealing the personal property tax on business equipment, something industry wants.

Legislative leaders hope for a late-March adjournment.
