Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is seeking approval for a new ski lift.
The Jackson Hole News & Guide reported Thursday the project still needs approval from state and federal agencies and wouldn't be operational until the 2015-16 ski season.
The quad lift would be 4,500 feet long and gain about 1,700 vertical feet.
The resort has already started work on the project, including tree removal and some grading.
Parts of two unnamed streambeds would have to be relocated to accommodate a loading area for skiers and snowboarders. Eric Hargett of the state Department of Environmental Quality says that would entail installing a culvert and creating a new channel about 200 feet long.
The department is accepting public comments on the resort's left permit through July 8.
