Ken Meyers had to turn around and leave his home Thursday before he even got to check on it. He spent most of the evening in the Century High School parking lot, not knowing if it was consumed by the Charlotte Fire.

The Charlotte Fire started Thursday afternoon in the Mink Creek area south of Pocatello. Hundreds of people were evactuated.
