A man who claimed to be making bombs and called himself the "second Osama bin Laden" has been charged with making terroristic threats.
The Deseret News reports 27-year-old Mohamud Ismail was also charged Tuesday with felony emergency reporting abuse after allegedly calling 911 more than 100 times in two days.
It's unclear what motivated Ismail, who was arrested Friday at a Salt Lake City apartment. No explosives were found.
A probable cause statement says Ismail made 106 calls to police dispatchers March 6 and 7.
Court records show he has a previous conviction for calling a 911 dispatcher two years ago with a threat to "bomb and kill all Americans."
Ismail is being held at Salt Lake County Jail on $50,000 bail.
