A Rigby man is headed to prison for a year after admitting he stole thousands from the Fort Hall Casino.
John Mejia, 32, was sentenced Tuesday to 12 months and a day behind bars, followed by three years of supervised release and the requirement that he repay nearly $180,000.
Mejia was indicted in July 2011 on one count of theft.
He had been working as a gaming technician and admitted he took money from the casino by creating duplicate vouchers from gaming machines and redeeming the vouchers for cash.
