ARBON VALLEY, Idaho -

A Pocatello man was killed in a crash on Interstate 86 Tuesday night.

It happened at milepost 53 between Exit 52 The Arbon Valley Highway and Exit 56 Airport Way.

Police said Kelton Jonathan Zundel, 20, of Pocatello, was driving east in a red Honda Civic in the right lane when the car drifted off to the side. Zundel over corrected and rolled the car landing in the median, police said.

Zundel was wearing a seat belt, but was pinned under the car and died before police could extricate him. LifeFlight was on scene to take the driver to the hospital. Zundel's passenger, Jeffrey Cardell, 22, of Pocatello, suffered only cuts and bruises, police said. He was also wearing a seat belt.

The westbound lanes of Interstate 86 were closed because of the accident.

Alcohol was not a factor in the crash, police said.
