Man robbed in SLC after posting online classified
Salt Lake City police say a man trying to sell a Playstation system over KSL classifieds was robbed at gunpoint.
Police say the robbery happened just before 1 p.m. Thursday on West Temple Street.
Authorities say the man had his three young children with him when he met up with a person he'd contacted through the website.
Police say the suspect pulled out a gun and took the game system before fleeing on foot.
The suspect is described as a white male with the numbers "801" tattooed on the back of his scalp and other tattoos on his arms and shoulders.
Officers warned residents to be cautious when online transactions move offline, and recommend that people never meet a stranger in an isolated place, especially when cash is involved.
