A preliminary hearing for 22-year-old Adan Arroyo on charges of first degree murder has been set back to March.
Arroyo is accused in the shooting death of 21-year-old Kristy Aschliman on Jan. 19. Bonneville County deputies said she had been shot in the head. Investigators said four shots were fired. Aschliman's body was found at 5242 E. Lincoln Road.
At his scheduled preliminary hearing Friday, Arroyo's attorney, Justin Oleson, argued he had not yet received necessary reports from the Bonneville County Prosecutor's office to proceed with the case at this time.
Magistrate Judge Steven A. Gardner rescheduled the hearing for 9 a.m. on March 1.
Arroyo, of Blackfoot, is charged with first-degree murder and an enhancement charge of use of a deadly weapon in the commission of a felony.
