A Nampa man is due to appear in court a day after a four-hour standoff with police investigating a child-abuse case.
Officers with the Criminal Investigation Division were attempting to serve a search warrant Sunday at the home of 52-year-old Patrick Michael Massie.
Authorities say Massie would not come to the door and the officers received word the man had several firearms inside.
Massie did not make any direct threats, but the Nampa Police Tactical Response Team and the Crisis Negotiation Team were called and several neighboring houses were evacuated.
Massie surrendered after about 50 minutes of negotiations.
He is scheduled to be arraigned Monday on a charge of lewd conduct with a minor.
