Power County authorities are investigating the shooting deaths of two angus cows in the Michaud Creek area Saturday. The Power County Sheriff's Department said both animals were shot with a small caliber weapon, most likely a .22.

Rancher Ron Swanson said the cows were valued at $3,000. Swanson has offered a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.
