A Salmon man was killed in a one vehicle rollover on US 93 at around 5 pm Thursday. Idaho State Police said Garrett Nicolson, 26, was southbound when he drove off the right shoulder of the highway, over-corrected and lost control of his vehicle.
Reports said his 2001 Hyundai Elantra struck a rocky embankment on the east side of the road and the car rolled several times. Nicolson was not wearing a safety restraint and was thrown from the vehicle. He was transported by ambulance to Steel Memorial Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
Investigation of the crash was continuing Friday.
