A Madison County teen drowned in the Teton River on Monday afternoon.
The 17-year-old boy's name was Brett Ryan Ours. He was a student at Central Alternative High School in Rexburg.
It happened around 5 p.m. at the bridge near Highway 33 and 3000 West along the South Fork, according to Madison County dispatch.
County officials warned that deep holes and undercurrents near the bridge make it a dangerous section of the river.
