The location and time for the "American Idol" auditions in Idaho Falls were released Thursday evening.
The auditions will start at 9 a.m. Saturday at Snake River Landing, according to the show's official webpage. There will be no preregistration.
A representative for "American Idol" said the official announcement for the auditions had been delayed because production staff are working out some unspecified, behind-the-scenes details.
Plenty of folks in eastern Idaho are catching "Idol" fever.
The fact that our next "American Idol" could be from our neck of the woods has us all very excited.
From pop to country to straight-up old school, America has seen 11 different "Idol" winners from all walks.
How cool would it be to see a winner from eastern Idaho? That's a question best left for the folks who get to play the latest Idol's tracks.
"We are so excited!" exclaimed Mike and Liza, morning radio show hosts from KLCE Classy 97. "So excited! Are you kidding?"
"The next Carrie Underwood coming from eastern Idaho?," 105.5 morning hosts Dale and Jess contemplated. "Come on. That's cool."
"I'm going get everyone's autograph (at the auditions)!" said Brad, who hosts the morning show on Z-103. "Just in case."
Brad's co-host, Tara, added that she wants to take pictures of each auditioner.
It's no wonder "American Idol's" small town bus tour has been dominating the rumor mills lately.
A few overly excited individuals broke the news early.
"I don't know what you're talking about!" Dale joked after providing an exact time and location for auditions on his morning show.
"I cannot confirm, or deny it," Jess backed up her co-host.
