BONNEVILLE COUNTY, Idaho -

A boat was burning about two miles upstream from the dam on the Ririe Reservoir on Monday morning.

The Bonneville County Sheriff's office and Jefferson Central Fire District were called to the fire around 10 a.m.

Three people on board the boat got off and flagged down another boat which picked them up. No one was hurt.

Deputies suspect the fire began as an engine fire possibly caused by gas fumes.

The sheriff's office and fire district put out the fire, but the boat was totally destroyed.
