Authorities say an 11-year-old boy survived falling 200 feet down the face of a cliff near Bridal Veil Falls over the weekend.
Spencer Cannon of the Utah County Sheriff's Office says the boy was conscious and talking to rescuers before he was airlifted to the hospital Sunday afternoon.
Cannon says the boy was hiking a trail to the falls and had taken a few jumping steps when tumbled down a steep, rocky slope. He came to rest above the Provo Parkway Trail next to the Provo River.
Officials say the boy has head injuries, possibly a broken collar bone, and back and hip injuries that don't appear to be life-threatening.
