A 3.3 magnitude earthquake with 2 aftershocks hit Monday northeast of Challis.
Idaho National Laboratory scientists measured three low level seismic events in Custer county.
At 12:43 pm, an estimated 3.3 magnitude quake hit just Northeast of Challis.
The main quake was followed by an estimated 2.8 at 12:57pm, and an estimated 2.9 quake hit around 1:18pm
The Custer County sheriff's office in Challis handled several calls from residents who reported they felt a tremor Monday.

Two earthquakes were recorded in the area by University of Utah seismographs last Thursday. One measured magnitude 2.4 at 4 p.m. about 15 miles southeast of Challis. A second was measured at magnitude 1.6 at 4:17 p.m. about 18 miles southeast of Challis.
