Cop Church coming to Idaho Falls

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho - A new church is coming to town. The ministry is designed for police officers.

"Cop Church Idaho Falls" is having their first monthly service on Tuesday, Sept.12th. The service will be at "River of Life" church at 525 S Blvd, Idaho Falls, ID.

This is the second church of its kind. The church originated in Chattanooga, Tennessee and now it's coming to Idaho Falls. The idea is to provide fellowship for officers and their families.

"We are going to target ministering to police officers and their unique situations with their spouses and give the opportunity for officers to minister to one another and to the community through "Cop church," says Tim Rupp, retired police officer, and pastor.

"You kind of get pressured with the downside of society. This was an opportunity to kind of get raised up and rejuvenated. And it's really neat to have that fellowship and that bonding." says Jason Krebsbach, retired military police officer, and member.
