An Ammon woman finds her dog taped up

Dog found taped up

AMMON, Idaho (KIFI/KIDK) - An Ammon woman was horrified to find her dog behind a gate, but that's not all. Holly Riordan says her dog, Princess, got out of the garage.

After hours of looking for her, they found her with her nose and eyes taped over with electrical tape. She was in the snow behind the gate of an Ammon water tank facility in her backyard.

Princess is doing better now, but Holly says the experience was heartbreaking.

"I felt horrible. I was like, people don't understand animals are like family. They're like they're your kids they're a part of your family and so I was heartbroken. I was hysterical on the other side of the fence just crying because I couldn't imagine the pain and how scared she was. I mean I was scared, I couldn't imagine what she was going through because she didn't deserve it," says Riordan.

If you have any information on who could have done this, please contact the Bonneville County Sheriff's Office at (208) 529-1375.
