More than one earthquake rattle southeast Idaho

4.3 magnitude earthquake, followed by two at 3.3

SODA SPRINGS, Idaho (KIFI/KIDK) - UPDATE: 10:40 a.m. Jan. 26, 2018: The U. S. Geological Survey said a 3.3 magnitude quake rattled just three minutes after the first quake at 8:35 p.m. Thursday. It was in the same area, about 11 miles southeast of Soda Springs. This makes a total of three quakes in the cluster.

UPDATE 11:30 p.m. : A third 3.3 magnitude quake in the same area hit at 10:40 p.m. Thursday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. This quake was 11 miles southeast of Soda Springs.

ORIGINAL STORY:

A 4.3 magnitude earthquake was recorded at 8:32 p.m. Thursday evening.

According to the United States Geological Survey, the epicenter was about 9 miles southeast of Soda Springs, at a depth of 6.2 miles. 

According to the USGS community reporting website, the quake was felt as far south as Salt Lake City and as far north as Alpine, Wyoming.

There have been no reports of any injuries or damage in the area at this time.
