IDAHO FALLS, Idaho - Thursday morning was career day at Eagle Rock Middle School in Idaho Falls.
Career presenters from the surrounding community attended to give the students a good idea of the fields they have chosen as a career.
Seven-hundred sixty students from seventh and eighth grades rotated between two morning sessions to learn about these fields. Students were able to pick from 28 different careers fields. They asked questions ranging from necessary classes they could take while in school, to what the presenters like most or least about their chosen careers.
Eyewitness News anchor Todd Kunz and weather forecast Steve Cannon presented their knowledge and experience of broadcasting and meteorology.
"The goal is to give kids exposure to see what’s out there and the opportunities that are in our community and the training that is involved," said Marla Andrews, counselor.
This is the second year that Eagle Rock Middle School has hosted a career day. The school will hold another spring career day in April.
