IDEQ orders Franklin County advisory

POCATELLO, Idaho (KIFI/KIDK) - UPDATE:   12-7

The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality has extended an air quality advisory for Franklin County.

Although air quality improved somewhat over the past 24 hours, high pressure will regain a stronghold over the area.  As a result, air quality will remain in the "moderate" category.

IDEQ said latest air quality monitors indicate there may be no relief from the high pressure inversion conditions for the next week.

High pressure is expected to cause rising pollutant levels and deteriorating air quality as the week progresses.
