Jackson Hole High School No. 1 in Wyoming
U.S. News and World Report ranks Jackson Hole High School as Wyoming's best public high school for academics.
Sheridan High School ranks second.
The Jackson Hole News & Guide reports (http://bit.ly/11S2gZr) the rankings are based on the number of students who take and pass advanced placement courses. Math and reading tests also factor into the ranking.
The magazine collected data on more than 21,000 public high schools in 49 states and the District of Columbia. Only the Jackson and Sheridan high schools were rated among the schools in Wyoming.
Nationwide, Jackson Hole High School ranked 1,159th and received a silver medal from U.S. News and World Report. Five hundred schools got gold medals.
