Jamie joins us from Miami, where she worked as a news writer for the local Fox affiliate, WSVN. Born in Washington, D.C., and raised in nearby Maryland, politics, current events and the media have always been a major fixture in her life.
Jamie received her B.S. in communications from the University of Miami, double majoring in broadcast journalism and psychology. She began her broadcasting career with several internships, including a summer at MSNBC in New York City. Jamie also enjoyed a stint at the PBS NewsHour, contributing in the coverage of events such as the confirmation hearings for Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan and Mexican President Felipe Calderon's official visit to our nation's capital.
Outside of work, Jamie is a die-hard Miami Hurricanes fan and a devout foodie. She loves spending time outside and getting plenty of exercise. She looks forward to learning how to ski and snowboard in her spare time -- an opportunity that was obviously unavailable in Florida. Jamie is passionate about becoming an involved part of the Idaho Falls community, and would love to hear from viewers. You can email her at email@example.com or like her on Facebook.
