Crapo to hold tele-townhall meeting

WASHINGTON - Sen. Mike Crapo will hold a tele-townhall meeting to hear Idahoans next week.

The hour-long call will give folks the chance to ask questions and speak directly with the senator.

The call will start at 7 p.m. MT Feb. 12. If you want to participate, you will need to sign up by 3 p.m. MT Monday. Click here to register.

"As I said following the president's State of the Union address, our nation faces some serious challenges in the months and years ahead," Crapo said in a news release. "Idahoans want to see Washington work, but they also understand that a change of course is needed to break the federal government's tax-and-spend addiction. Just this week, the Congressional Budget Office reported that debt levels will not only remain at historically high post-World War II levels, but will rise substantially after 2017. Additionally, we recently learned that Obamacare is going to force more than 2 million people from the workforce by 2017, adding further ailment to an already struggling job market. The people of Idaho are frustrated, and I welcome their input and common-sense approaches to these topics."

In addition, the Republican senator will well talk about the recently passed Farm Bill and the flaws and benefits, including deficit-reduction measures.

Crapo will hold another tele-townhall meeting May 14.
