IDAHO FALLS, Idaho - On New Year's Eve, IF Taxi driver Nathan Cline says the phones wouldn't stop ringing.
"There probably were 40 or 50 calls," Cline said. "It was a little more than we could even keep up with."
"People want to get out and celebrate--the responsible ones--that had a drink or two certainly want to get home safely and so they will call a taxi."
Then, all the delayed and canceled flights at the airport this week meant more people needed rides back to their hotels.
"I remember one lady...to get here from back east she had had two canceled flights and three delays," said Cline.
Still, soaring gas prices have cut into cabbies' profit.
"That will reduce the amount of money we take home a little bit, so we'd like to see gas prices lower, that's for sure."
