POCATELLO, Idaho -

After 50 years in the Pocatello/Chubbuck School District, the principal of Pocatello High School is retiring.

Don Cotant began and ended his career in the same school district, starting at what was then called Alameda Junior High (now Alameda Middle School). He taught biology and coached at Highland High School before going to Pocatello High School to teach until 1990 when he became an administrator.
