A Pinedale man faces attempted murder charges alleging he attacked three women in their homes over the past four years.

Sublette County Attorney Neal Stelting this week filed felony charges against 37-year-old Brian James McDonald accusing him of the three attacks. Investigators say the women were attacked in their sleep and beaten with blunt objects, suffering serious head injuries.

KPIN Radio reports McDonald was arrested in July and charged with the 2010 attack. This week, Stelting dismissed the earlier charge and filed new charges incorporating the 2010 attack as well as attacks in 2012 and earlier this year.

Circuit Court Judge Curt Haws set bail for McDonald at $1 million at his initial court appearance Thursday.

No attorney represents McDonald yet. He faces a preliminary hearing Sept. 4.
