POCATELLO, Idaho -

Investigators say the gunshot wound that led to the death of a Pocatello woman in February was self-inflicted.

On Feb. 10, police responded to calls of an unconscious woman who was bleeding from the head outside her home on Jefferson Avenue. Police found a handgun nearby.

Nettie Adair, 28, was pronounced dead shortly after she arrived at Portneuf Medical Center.

Adair was the mother of a 5-year-old.

Investigators from multiple agencies received several tips in connection to Adair's death. One of Adair's close friends had said she told him that about a week before, two armed men approached her home saying they wanted to beat up her boyfriend for unknown reasons.

Various people were interviewed as part of the investigation. An autopsy was also performed on Adair's body.

The investigation was conducted by the Pocatello Police Department, with the assistance of the Bannock County Coroners Office, the Bannock County Prosecutors Office, the Idaho State Police, the Idaho State Forensic Laboratory and Dr. Charles Garrison.
