Officials say six people exposed to a mysterious white powder in an envelope sent to the Mormon Church Office Building in downtown Salt Lake City appear to be fine.
Salt Lake Fire spokesman Jasen Asay said Friday the partial evacuation of the building was precautionary. He says there doesn't appear to be any threat.
Asay says six people exposed to the powder were evaluated and have been allowed to go home.
The 28-story building is where employees with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints work. It is located near the church's temple. The envelope was discovered on the third floor in the missionary department.
Asay says an initial test of the powder revealed it was not dangerous or explosive. It's being sent to the state crime lab for further testing.
