IDEQ loan will save Country Club Hills over one million dollars

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho - Country Club Hills Utilities has been awarded a $1,641,000 low-interest loan from the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality.

The loan will be used to install two miles of 12-inch sewer line and ancillary equipment to connect to the existing Eastern Idaho Regional Wastewater Authority interceptor.  It will allow the Bonneville County based utility to decommission its existing lagoon.

The loan comes from DEQ's State Revolving Loan Fund, which is capitalized each year by grants from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

According to Idaho DEQ, the favorable loan terms will save the community about $1,534,504 over the 30-year term of the loan.
