Winter Weather Advisory for Friday night Saturday morning

Higher elevations to the north and east of the Snake River Plain are under a Winter Weather Advisory, through Saturday morning.

For most of us, Veterans Day, will be a WINDY COLD day with just a few showers. However, locations such as Island Park, Driggs, Victor and Spencer, could see accumulating snow and ice on roadways.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 AM MST

SATURDAY ABOVE 6000 FEET...

 

* WHAT...Snow expected. Plan on slippery road conditions. Total

  snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches, with localized amounts up

  to 8 inches across higher elevation areas.

 

* WHERE...Upper Snake Highlands including Ashton Hill and Targhee

  Pass.

 

* WHEN...5 PM today to 11 AM Saturday. Heaviest between Midnight

  and 8 AM.

 

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Be prepared for reduced visibilities at

  times. Reduce driving speeds.

 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

 

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will

cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered

roads and limited visibilities, and reduce driving speeds. The
