MOAB, Utah (AP) -

Grand County deputies say a 78-year-old woman who was reported missing after she failed to show up to the library was found stuck in quicksand.

Authorities say the woman was in good condition when she was found about 11 p.m. July 9, about 14 hours after she said she got stuck.

Deputies say they searched a bike path at the Courthouse Wash in Arches National Park, where the woman was known to walk. Investigators located her car in a parking lot near the wash, and found her about a quarter mile up the wash.

Grand County rescuers say they helped get her from the wash to the parking lot.

Parks officials and deputies didn't immediately return messages Tuesday seeking further details about the rescue.
