New York Giants wide receiver Hakeem Nicks signed with Jay Z's sports agency, Roc Nation Sports, on Thursday.
Roc Nation Sports spokesman Ron Berkowitz said Nicks will be jointly represented by CAA and Roc Nation. The two agencies already share, along with IMG, one of Nicks' teammate, Victor Cruz.
Nicks confirmed the signing with Roc Nation on Twitter.
"I'm proud to become a part of the #RocNationSports family!" he tweeted.
Half of Roc Nation's clients play for New York teams. The New York firm also represents Yankees pitcher CC Sabathia and Jets quarterback Geno Smith.
Detroit Lions defensive end Ndamukong Suh was recently added to the client list, joining Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant, Seattle Mariners second baseman Robinson Cano and WNBA player Skylar Diggins.
Nicks, who is a free agent, has been hampered by injuries the past two seasons.
Nicks' best seasons were 2010 and 2011. He had 79 catches for 1,052 yards and 11 touchdowns in 2010, and had 76 receptions for 1,192 yards and seven touchdowns the next year.
In 2012, his production dropped to 53 catches, 692 yards and three touchdowns in 13 games, and this past season, Nicks had 56 receptions for 896 yards and no touchdowns in 15 games.
