Miami Dolphins left tackle Jake Long has indicated he is seeking a contract that will pay him $11 million per year, NFL.com reported.

Long, 27, is in position to become a free agent, and it's unclear how the Dolphins plan to handle the situation.

Long, the first overall pick in the 2008 draft, has had injury issues in recent years, and he is recovering from triceps surgery. He played in 12 games, all starts, in 2012.

He earned an average of $11 million per season over his five-year rookie contract with the Dolphins.
