RICHMOND RECORD: 25 career starts, 3 wins, 5 top-5s, 8 top-10s, 2 poles. Best career finish: First in spring 2007, late summer 2007 and late summer 2008. Finished 40th in this race last year and was 32nd in this year's spring race there.
LOOKING AHEAD: Johnson hopes to turn around his last two performances at Richmond, where he's finished 40th (in this race last year) and 32nd in this year's spring race.
"This will be an interesting race for sure," Johnson said. "There are a few guys trying to get in the Chase and a few guys trying to stay in it. It's been a great regular season so far - exciting for the fans and everyone involved. I'm so happy for Kasey Kahne and the No. 5 team with their win in Atlanta - so proud Hendrick Motorsports will have all four drivers represented in the Chase for this year's cup."
LOOKING BACK: Johnson finished fourth at Bristol and repeated that same finish at Atlanta. It definitely appears Johnson is warming up for another strong run during the upcoming Chase for the Sprint Cup.
