A weakening storm system and another system from Canada moving through the area will bring a few changes.

First, we will see a little more cloud cover. This will allow our temperatures to drop about 1 to 5 degrees compared to yesterday.

With the added cloud cover and instability, there is a slight chance of isolated thunderstorms across the area with the highest probabilities across the mountains and highlands.

The thunderstorms will carry little precipitation but could produce dangerous lightning strikes and gusty winds.

Expect breezy conditions in the Snake River Plain today with winds between 10-20mph.

Thursday the region will see a chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms.
