BLACKFOOT, Idaho - A good samaritan was shocked to find a wallet full of cash while cleaning the highway this week - someone's long-lost treasure discovered among piles of trash.
Brady Summers decided to adopt a highway near his Blackfoot home this year on his birthday, and while picking up trash, stumbled upon Cindy Mortensen's wallet that had been lost for nearly a decade.
On Thursday, Summers told us how touched he was the moment he finally tracked her down and returned her wallet with an undisclosed amount of money in it.
"I was so overtaken with good feelings in my heart, I'll be doing this every year from now on for my birthday," Summers wrote.
His story has been shared so many times on social media, Summers said it also got the attention of the Idaho Department of Transportation on Friday, who also wants to share his story.
