Think you've heard it all when it comes to ice cream flavors? Think again. Here's a look at just some of the world's weirdest ice cream flavors in honor of National Ice Cream Month in July and in particular National Ice Cream Day on July 17. [ + - ]
Garlic -- A favorite during the Gilroy Garlic Festival in California. [ + - ]
Coronation Chicken -- Initially created during the queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations in England, this delicacy is a take on the coronation chicken dish invented for the queen's coronation banquet in 1953. It consists of cold chicken, curry cream and raisins in mayonnaise. [ + - ]
Cicada -- Sparky's Homemade Ice Cream in Columbia, Mo., sold out of its only batch of this insect-filled dessert within hours of its debut in 2011. Employees collected the bugs, removed their wings and boiled them and covered them in brown sugar and milk chocolate. The base ice cream was a brown sugar and butter flavor. [ + - ]
